Overflow Introductions

One yes from the right partner puts you in front of dozens of the people you serve.

Each introduction is a short personal email from you to an association, podcast, school or professional who already has your clients’ trust. Every week, Overflow Introductions finds 20-30 of them and drafts each email in your voice, right in your Gmail or Outlook. Send the ones you like and watch the replies roll in.

$299 a month after a $299 setup. Nothing goes out unless you send it.

22 of the first 81 emails got a reply (27%).*

Published figures for cold email sit at 2-4%.

Who it’s for

Your clients already trust someone. This is who it writes to.

If you’re a coach, it introduces you to

  • HR and leadership associations
  • Chambers of commerce
  • Coach-training schools
  • Advisors who meet your clients first
  • Podcasts
  • Conferences

Not on the list? The free partner preview shows who it would write to for you.

The problem

The stage seems to go to people who already know someone.

The coach an association asks back to speak, the broker every realtor sends clients to, the author a podcast books: from the outside, it looks like connections and luck.

Writing to the people who already have your clients’ trust works. The research is what nobody has evenings for: finding who’s active, reading what each one does, finding the right address and following up.

Overflow Introductions does the research and the follow-up. You keep the part you’re already good at: the relationship.

Who’s behind it

I built it for my own band and my own teaching first.

I’m Joseph Arnold, a violinist, Alexander Technique teacher and author of Soulforce. I’d seen what one partner can do: when a teacher I know mentioned my group class to their mailing list, about 40 people came, against my usual 7.

I built Overflow Introductions for Gypsy Reverie, my band, and Soulforce Arts Institute, my teaching practice. In its first two weeks, its emails turned into over $1000 of workshops scheduled, a paid gig, a spot on an event agency’s talent roster, and two associations passing my pitch to their event planners.

My co-founder, Itamar Meimon, brings a career in finance and a mortgage practice of his own, a business where nobody signs anything until they trust you.

The plan

A 30-minute call, then about ten minutes a day

1

A 30-minute setup call

We map who your clients already trust and how you write. First drafts arrive within a week.

2

Ten minutes a day

Four or five drafts wait in your Gmail or Outlook. Send, edit or delete each one, or have an assistant do it.

3

Replies from trusted partners

A guest session, a newsletter mention, a podcast episode or a referral puts your work in front of their people.

How it works

What it does each week

  • Finds

20-30 organizations and professionals a week, each checked: active, the right audience, a published business email, never contacted before.

You: Keep your playbook's “Who to look for” current.

  • Writes

A short first email built on what it read on their site, in your voice, plus follow-ups on day 7 and day 14.

You: Send, edit or delete. About ten minutes a day.

  • Tracks

Every send, reply and bounce, with one morning email of what's waiting.

    You: Answer the replies.

  • Learns

An edit you make twice becomes a rule. Each month it moves the research toward the kinds of contacts that reply.

    You: Nothing.

Your outreach playbook is a Google Doc you own. Edit it any time, and email me when you want help: I answer within two working days.

What a draft looks like

A paragraph Overflow Introductions wrote for Soulforce, to an association of adult community music ensembles. It led to a $1,000 teaching opportunity.

Draft
To: [the association]
I love that [the association] gives adults a way back into music, and that your virtual events speak to a player’s whole life. Where my work could complement that is a virtual session for your members: a toolkit of 20+ mind-body freedom techniques that help them play and sing longer without soreness and feel freer at the concert, so the music stays a pleasure for years.
The paragraph as sent, with the association’s name taken out.

It never sends for you, and it never writes again to anyone who said no, whose address bounced, or who is already one of your contacts.

The first-yes guarantee

No partner yes by day 60? It’s free until you get one.

If by day 60 you’ve sent at least 15 emails a week and asked me once for help with your targeting or messaging, and no partner has said yes, Overflow Introductions is free until your first yes, for up to two months.

A yes is a partner agreeing to something: a guest session, a mention to their members, a podcast episode or a referral conversation.
